ABOUT US
Cine Mío is a production company based in Asunción, Paraguay, founded by Ivana Urízar to develop her own film projects and collaborate with other production companies, both nationally and internationally.
This company shapes its identity by engaging audiences with stories that challenge through a genuine discourse and experimentation with language in service of effective storytelling. Additionally, it focuses on young filmmakers, functioning as a platform for emerging national talent.
Its catalog includes titles in various stages of development, both fiction and documentary, with a contemporary approach that navigates the transformations of new narrative forms, the irreverent boundary between genres, and a strong interest in uncovering the hidden and telling the urgent—from a committed and clear perspective.
IVANA URIZAR

Rotterdam Lab (2024) and Open Doors Producers' Lab (2023) alumni. She holds a degree in Communication from the Universidad Nacional de Asunción (Paraguay), studied Audiovisual Arts at the National University of La Plata and is currently pursuing a Master degree in Cultural Management at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain.
Her work includes notable roles as Line Producer and Production Manager for: Narciso (Marcelo Martinessi, postproduction), “Matar a un muerto” (Hugo Giménez, 2020), “Las herederas” (Marcelo Martinessi, 2018), “La última tierra” (Pablo Lamar, Paraguay 2016), among others. She has also been part of development teams, focusing on writing project proposals for international funding and budgeting, and produced the short film “Veo veo”, directed by Tania Cattebeke (2019).
The film “Bajo las banderas, el sol”, by Juanjo Pereira is the first produced by her production company Cine Mío, and is having its world premiere in Berlinale 2025. She was also part of the Paraguayan production team of the feature documentary Green is the New Red by Anna Recalde Miranda, recently released at IDFA in International Competition.
She is also developing Fuegas (by Arami Ullón), Los silencios de mi nombre (Paz Encina and Olinda Ruiz), La guerra de las mujeres (Anna Recalde Miranda), El Santito (Fernando Allen, Fredi Casco and Andrea Gandolfo) and Camino al Pueblo, by Javier Arroyo.
MAXIMILIANO CUETO

Maximiliano Cueto is a Paraguayan film producer based in Asunción. A 2025 Produire au Sud (PAS) alumnus, he holds a degree in International Business from Universidad Católica “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” and is completing a Bachelor’s degree in Cinematography at Universidad Columbia del Paraguay.

He is particularly drawn to projects that explore historical and cultural memory through a contemporary lens, and that reflect on Paraguay’s current socio-cultural landscape. He produced the short film “Limerencia” (Giancarlo Pomata, 2023), winner of several awards at national film festivals, and has held various production roles in both national and international feature films, including “Bajo las banderas, el sol” (Juanjo Pereira, 2025) and “Green is the New Red” (Anna Recalde Miranda, 2024). He was also part of the production team of the short film “La Felicidad” (Paz Encina, 2025). Currently, he is the lead producer of “Mundo” (Jimena Román), a project selected for PAS (2025), Bolivia Lab (2025), and VS Guiones (2025), and recipient of INAP development funding (2024).

Since 2023, he has served as producer for the Asunción Contemporary Film Festival (ASUFICC) and, since 2024, for the Beija Flor Festival. He is deeply committed to connecting Paraguayan audiences with new narratives, cinematic languages, and global perspectives, developing both audiences and film professionals through encounters with cinema that challenge the status quo.

He is also part of the development and production teams for “Narciso” (Marcelo Martinessi), “El Santito” (Fernando Allen, Fredi Casco & Andrea Gandolfo), “Los silencios de mi nombre” (Paz Encina & Olinda Ruiz), “La guerra de las mujeres” (Anna Recalde Miranda), and “Camino al pueblo” (Javier Arroyo).
AIMAR ALMIRON

Aimar Almiron is an emerging Paraguayan film producer and artist based in Asunción. He is currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Cinematography at Universidad Columbia del Paraguay, where he holds an academic excellence scholarship, and pursuing a dual degree in Marketing and Business Administration at USIL.
His work spans documentary and auteur cinema, focusing on queer subjectivities, memory, and space. He has been involved in the executive production of nationally and internationally funded projects with companies such as Cine Mío, Picante, and Cucamonga, including Bajo las banderas, el sol (Juanjo Pereira), La guerra de las mujeres (Anna Recalde Miranda), and El Santito (Fernando Allen, Fredi Casco & Andrea Gandolfo).
In 2025, he completed the Arthouse Cinema Training (ACT) organized by CICAE in Berlin, becoming the first Paraguayan participant in the program. As a CICAE alumnus, he remains engaged with an international network of cinema professionals, deepening his commitment to strengthening Paraguay’s independent film ecosystem through exhibition, audience development, and cultural management.
Throughout his career, Aimar has contributed to the organization of cultural and educational initiatives, film residencies, and archival projects that connect cinema with memory, community, and collective learning. His practice integrates artistic creation and critical reflection, promoting cinema as a space for dialogue, and transformation.
